Here at The Life Church - DC Metro, we see the challenges our country is facing.

We're not un-grounded, we're seeking higher ground. We're not dreamers; we're visionaries. We're not hopeful; we're hope-filled.

We embrace inconvenience and we're praying to see what God is doing next.

WHY THE DC METRO AREA?

Through this process, one of the most common questions we have been asked is "Why the DC Metro Area?"

We can think of many great reasons. The DC metro area, aka the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) is an amazing place. For us the answer is simple. When God spoke. After visiting multiple cities, there was a moment on our second visit as our plane was landing that God spoke to us and said this is your city. And we couldn't be more excited!

We believe the DC metro area is on the verge of a spiritual awakening. We know God's heart is toward this city and its people. And we are excited to play our part in the big things He has in store.

We recognize that there are many great churches in the area and are honored to work alongside the pastors and teams who have been sowing and building ahead of us. We also recognize that a large metro area like the DMV, creates a great need for more life-giving churches to reach people who have yet to experience the life-changing power of Jesus.

THE CHURCH WE SEE

We see a community of diverse Christ followers who are compelled to learn from and live like Jesus. We think that looks like living lives that are simple, sincere and sacrificial in a world that is complex, untrustworthy and self-consumed. Jesus transcended culture and was able to pull our attention to the things of this world that are beautiful and true. That’s our commitment: to create a place where people can find a sincere community that is united and celebrates the beauty and truth of Jesus.

SIMPLE
Clearing obstacles in one's own life and in the lives of others. Simplicity is, in itself, an act of love and caring. Simplicity acknowledges the complexity of life while working to focus on what is most important, essential, and eternal.

SINCERE
Kind truth for the benefit of others. Unlike honesty (I need to be honest, let me be honest), which is for the benefit of the truth-teller, sincerity begins with listening, followed by contextualizing, and finished with kindness.

SACRIFICIAL
Self-denial is the path of self-improvement. Unlike asceticism, sacrifice isn't punitive; it's transformative.

Hear our story

The Frailey story

We knew when we were married in July 2000 that we would dedicate our lives to ministry. Our first assignment was to plant a church in Los Angeles. We then served for 15 years as lead pastors at City Church in Riverside, California. At the end of 2020, we uprooted our family in an act of radical obedience to follow God's calling to once again plant a church...

We knew when we were married in July 2000 that we would dedicate our lives to ministry. Our first assignment was to plant a church in Los Angeles, then we served for 15 years as lead pastors at City Church in Riverside, California. At the end of 2020, we uprooted our family in an act of radical obedience to follow God's calling to once again plant a church. We stepped out in faith and with the same assurance felt called to partner with Pastors John and Leslie Siebeling and The Life Church.

In April 2021, we joined the leadership team at The Life Church and after much prayer and exploration of a new location, we will be launching The Life Church - DC Metro in early 2023

We are so excited to be on this journey together! This will be the first time to plant a national location of The Life Church outside of the Memphis area.
God has given our senior pastors John and Leslie Siebeling a vision for global expansion. It's a vision to expand The Life Church to reach more people for Christ by planting new regions around the nation and the world through God-appointed relationships.

So it is with great excitement and expectation that we, along with our four kids Houston, Ashton, Blake, and Braxton, have stepped out to plant the next region of The Life Church.
